We’re Going to the Playoffs!

2008 October 5 at 6:39 pm (Adventures My Way, Me and T)

That’s my birthday gift to T this year. He was being a little modest about it, talking about not spending too much money and all that.

But the Dodgers are doing so well! How could we not go!

Besides, this is our first birthday celebration as a married couple and he’s turning 30! (I’m older than him by eight months, so my 30th has come and gone.)

I’m excited. He’s excited.

And we’re thankful for StubHub.

Oh yeah! Golf on grass is such a crazy experience. I, not surprisingly, played the worst, but it was a really awesome morning and the guys were really patient and cheered for me when I managed to hit a couple of good shots. They also made fun of me when I hit some shitty ones, but that’s only fair because otherwise I wouldn’t be one of them. Nine holes took about two hours with five of us, and then we hit Starbucks, had coffee, talked, laughed, and ogled women. Good times.

Glenoaks Invitational

2008 October 3 at 6:53 pm (Adventures My Way, Me and T)

Tomorrow, bright and early, we will join our good friends Bryan and Tim for a round of golf. Nine holes. At an actual course! Albeit municipal. My first time, T’s second! Everyone’s better than me. Tim, especially, is a golf demi-god as far as I’m concerned, and has been playing since he was in the womb. We’re working on convincing him to go pro, but he’s shy. Anyway, I know I will be the worst one, and I don’t think they’re even giving me a handicap, but it’s okay, because I am fully prepared to go with the “It’s my first time and I’m only a girl” excuse. I may even force a blush.

Nope, I have no shame at all.

T’s birthday is next week. I have nothing planned. I suck.

I bought myself a 16gb purple ipod Nano. (And yet I have no gift for T…) It’s very cute and shiny. I am, however, so lazy I have only bothered to transfer my collection of Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Hana Yori Dango soundtrack onto it. For many people, 16gb is a mere pittance, but considering I’ve been using the first generation 4gb ipod this entire time, 16 is four times as much! :) I don’t have enough music to fill it. And since my other ipod still works, it seems rather dumb of me to put the same exact stuff onto it. I feel as if I should plan better. Really organize what I want in the new ipod, rather than chucking everything that has a decent beat into it. But after coming off wedding picture organization, the idea of sorting through anything is immediately coma-inducing.

Now I’m off to be a good little housewife and start dinner. Personally, I’m feeling unmotivated and would be happy with a quick bowl of cereal and a banana… but no… being in a relationship means having to take care of that other person and feeding them proper. *rolls eyes*

Hehe.

T actually takes very good care of me and submits himself to my lazy whims so that I never really cook when I don’t feel up to it. Plus, he ends up cooking half the food anyway, because I have no time management and nothing is ever ready by the time he comes home from work. See? It’s 6:49PM right now, and he’ll be home in about 45 minutes, but I haven’t thawed the pork chops or washed the snow peas yet… So guess who’ll be cooking those up?

I will say that it’s good we don’t have children right now. I somehow think our children would be very chubby or very skinny… and either way it’d be because I wasn’t feeding them right… This is why I love teddy bears. All they need are hugs and they’re good for the rest of the day.
